Hi folks yet another problem with my corsa B. I'm not sure if it is actually classed as the exhaust but it is certainly linked to it. It's underneath the car, right in the centre, and everytime the car goes over a bump I can hear it slicing or whacking the ground, not causing any problems but I don't want it to esculate into needing a new exhaust altogether. Any suggestions?

Check the hangers aren't bent and the rubbers aren't split.

is your car lowered?
the exhaust may be hitting the axle, undo the clamp behind the back box and rotate it so the nuts point upwards, this creats more room, other way is to undo the clamp and twist the backbox slightly- it lifts the bend that goes over the axle and helps it clear!
or the problem i had was the middle box kept knocking on floor so just have it sitting higher, or you could just buy a smaller middle box!!

My car isnt lowered, it's started doing it since I kinda fell asleep at the wheel and run over a kerb and I assume it's knocked it a bit or something...

Exhaust hangs on hangers.....rubbers attach the exhaust to the hangers.
If you have a look, all will seem clear.

If there bent, you can bend them back.
Or, take it to an exhast place and get them to do it.
