standard sport wheels are going back on for me...

wouldent a good wheel wax protect agains the salt in winter?
am sure there must be some product especialy for the winter months!

the only reason i would use winter wheels on ym car is for the fact that i couldnt be arsed cleaning them every few days to keep them looking nice, and especially with painted wheels.

quite interested to find out what people use in winter as i have chrome wheels on my car, don't really want them getting ruined
what do people recomend??

i got my rl7's with the car when i bought it, at the time they were making them still. You cant get them anymore at all as the company went out of business, so i really wanna keep them in tip top condition. Personally i see nothing wrong with having different wheels for when it is snowing and icy especially when they cost very little.

vaseline apparently works well. or any wheel wax should do the job. i use meguires stage 3 carnauba wax on my wheels

Anyone want to buy some standard SXi/Sport 5 spoke alloys? Scuffs etc. on them but could be good for winter wheels or refurbing.... maybe need tyres on some or all, cant remember what the tyres are like

how will powdercoated white wheels cope in the winter?

its only polished surfaces that you want to worry about. Cheap wheels (less than £200 each) will be fine.

i just found it was hard to keep the white alloys clean so decided to buy my cheap alloys with good tyres. plus i dont have to worry about cleaning the gsi's when its freezing . Any mishaps sliding into any kerbs also wont involve expensive reconditioning also
