ive got an ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe.

bought some 128x4 memory for it but it keeps bluescreening everytime i install windows. i contacted the memory supplier and they have said find out if my mobo accepts 128x4 or 64x8 memory modules?? can anyone help here?

128x4 is high density memory and 64x8 is low density if that helps?

make sure your CPU is seated properly on the MOBO....

There seem to be a lot of memory compatibility issues with that board.
Even corsair and the likes won't work sometimes.
Swap it for a different brand if possible.

you might want to try updating/flashing the bios to a later version. They may have fixed compatibility issues with certain types of memory.

Should be.
You normally put it on a floppy and do it from dos.

yes. As John said download the file to a floppy and there'll be a key you press on boot up which will update the bios.

the asus site seems to use "asus update" which is a program run in windows tho?

make sure the memory is seated properly, my Dad has this problem for ages, and i pointed out that it wasnt clipped in properly.. the fool!
