Need a graphics cards, not for 3D Gaming but primarily for desktop publishing and photoshop work.

Needs to be PCi express

needs to have a least dual DVI out

Its for a Dell optiplex 745, dual core Pentium 3.4Ghz with 4 GB Ram.

Not having much luck with search as market seems to be focused on 3D Gaming cards.

help pls

Doesn't really need to be that fast does it? Photoshops sucks up RAM quickly, but I wouldn't have thought a top of the range graphics card would be much use TBH.

I'd just go for something middle of the road

Yip graphics card won't make much of a difference, processing is done by the cpu and as said, lots of ram, which you already have is what you need.

I didnt say i need uber high power!

surely a dedicated 2D card will be better then the onboard intel shite.

plus dont forget i need dual DVI out.

Anything is better than onboard, just no need to spend much on it.

2nd problem, i think the PSU in this dell is pretty low ouput.

I cant have a power hungry geforce drawing power of it, im pretty sure the machine will fall over.

Optiplex 745 if anyone can find the specs.

Dell psu's are normally proprietary sizes and expensive.

Depends on chassis type and psu it shipped with seth.

quadro and they are for cad etc but I wouldn't class that the same as photoshop.

Will do thejob for what you are describing although so will a normal entry level ati or nvidia with dual dvi's.

Don't dismiss ATi cards, they have some excellent entry level and mid-range cards. Like the one PaulW posted for example.
