I think its about time I got into all this and photshopping so I need some software.
I was impressed when some of you knocked up logos so quick for the VSport one. I would like to have a go as the guy I buy parts from in the US for my old supra is offereing $300 worth of credit for winning design.
So I need easy to use software ideas please

Its not hard to use for basic stuff, as easy as Paint, but even some simple effects (layering, gradients etc) take some learning. If you get onto Levels and all that its pretty complicated.

ok a quick search and there is CS and element and a huge variation in prices.
Then if you look at the previous threads section some are sugesting illustrator

If any one fancies having a go
I will be having a contest for anyone interested in trying to create a new banner logo for SIP Racing. If you would like to participate, just create a banner logo and post it here in this thread. Winner will receive 300.00 usd in store credit to spent on any car part that I sell or can obtain. I will choose the single winner and will become the new advertising banner for my company.
Somethings I am looking for.
Not really into animation any longer.
Want to focus on the "SIP" initials with the words "racing" along with it. Also would like the words "High performance automotive part sales" some where in it so that folks who reed the banner will know that I sell things and not just race.
Must be eye catching, but easy to read.
Does not need to have pictures added like the one I have now does.
Other than that, lets see what you got!
I will take the $300 and give you a generous £50

So, we design the banner, you copy and paste, we get £50 and you get £100.

Hilarious. Just incredible, whilst you guys are searching, can one of you give me a little book that gives me a license to kill.
Oh and the ability to build my own space shuttle would be nice too.
