can enyone help. i just got brand new 17ins wheels for my corsa lowerd 40mm. when ever i go over bumps it rubs badly. is there enything i could do.

what offset and tyre size did you get? did you have any arch mods done? I'm looking to get 17's with minimum arch mods. I think 17x7 is 205/40/17

thats what i got and its rubbing at the front but i aint rolled the arches yet

apparently, you have to debolt the arches and bond them back on, unfortunately, I have my skirts bonded on top of the arches and so they cannot be removed.

Mine is 205/40/17 and lowered 35mm with no rubbing problems at all. It did rub slightly to start with but I cut the top part of the plastic arch away and it's fine now. The main bit of plastic to stop crap spraying into engine bay is still there though

205/40/17 isn't the 'offset'. We're talking about the ET number which should be between 45 and 49mm... this is how far the wheels stick in/out of the car (i.e. distance from bolt face to the centre of the wheel) and therefore have a lot to do with scrubbing!
