It's only really Benitez and Wenger that partake in that tbh, foreign coaches, the rest only do it if a special player comes up.

Tbh i don't understand it, you have one of the best squads of players in the world! they just don't perform on an international level.

no they dont. They all have scouting networks bringing in foreign players, United, Chelsea for certain, and I wouldnt mind betting clubs like Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, WHU, etc do it too.

They all have scouting networks every club in Europe does, Liverpool and Arsenal in recent history have signed tens more than everyone else though. Man United and Chelsea only ever sign a player if he's meant to be the next Pele/Maradona/Zidane.

Thats because they can afford to do so. We cant afford to go out and spend £18m each on two young players so have to hedge bets by bringing in a few more youngsters.
All clubs do it too, its just with the amount we have done in one go - whilst Rafa totally changes how out Acadmy is run - has got the press attention. And Arsenal have the attention as they are in a position of having those players coming through now.
