Whats needed. I know that there are a couple of budding photographers on here.
Basically i have a Rollei da5324, Which is basically a point a shoot 5MP digicam.
Dont get me wrong i dont want to be the worlds best photographer i just want to be able to take a variety of photos that look decent enuff, if that makes sence?
Any hints, tips or advice as to were to start

buy basic photography by michael langford then experiment with shots. if your camera has the ablity to adjust aperture then thats great, if not you can at least practice with composition.
there is also plenty if information online

I find just getting out there and practicing the best way. All what i've learnt is through going to music gigs, events and just generally going out and about with my camera.
I've also had a very good friend who has taught me a few tricks.

For instance my first gig:
Under exposed, noisy, crap composition (look at the guitar going out of the frame)
Then a gig i shot about 6 months later:
Much better exposure, colours, compostion. All just from practicing and learning as you go along
