i currently have a set of fibreglass copies moulded into my bonnet which i did to see if it would have much effect on underbonnet temps. impo it seemed to work so i bought a set of genuine ones with the metal joggle surround from the astra bonnet. anyone on here who has used these vents have any progress type pics so i can see how they went about fitting them. ime assuming the best way is to cut neatly around the joggle and then the corsa bonnet, weld the pannel in and fibreglass over any imperfections? just wonted to get a general idea of were to cut to save the possibility of fucking it up

I have GSI vents on mine but not the actual metalwork from the Astra bonnet, mine are blended in. I think you will struggle to use it due to the countours.
However if you can find anywhere suitable I think you would be best to cut the bonnet to the external measurements of the metal surround, then make a ring which can be rivetted to the underside of the bonnet that can inturn be rivetted to the vent surround, preferably with lots of resin between them. You can then skim the small outline and fit the vents as per a factory Astra GSI.
(Thats basically how a repair section is done on an aircraft so it will be more than capable on a car)
