My Drivers side rear light has stopped working. But all my other lights work, indicator, brake, fog light. If I plug the unit into the other side, the light works, so obviously it's not the unit. It's gotta be the wiring. I took a pic, there's 2 wires just hanging out but I don't know if that's the problem, I'm quite confused...
And this is the side that works:

They're all different colours, so I can't even match them as you say

Can't be the fuse, as the fuse is for the front sidelight too, and that works.
Just tried it anyway, and to no avail

Oh right ok, at least I don't have to worry about loose wires then.
Never had those plastics off, it just randomly stopped working, I presumed it was just the bulb. Already been pulled for it so be nice to have it working!

take a feed from the other side, u can find out what wire to take a feed off by following it back off the bulb holder.

sounds a bit iffy to me, just check that all the pins in the plug are clean and tight, does the ns light work when plugged to the os?

Yeah it works on the plug on the passenger side. I'll have a proper look at it tomorrow, hopefully the weather will hold off for an hour so I can sort it.
Try voltage tests and shit..

Finally got round to doing this after yet another ticking off from Old Bill...
Was a simple case of the number plate wiring had come unplugged. Wired it all back up and rear light worked again. They are on the same circuit.
