decided theres no point selling and shelling out more money on another car so no longer breaking my corsa merit 1.2,
HOWEVER need to know please how do i change my headgasket and cam belt and can anyone please write me a list of all the parts i should replace when replacing gasket ie head bolts ect would like to replace cambelt too as dont know how many miles this one has done and dont want to run the risk of bent valves ect. please help me someone want to know how to do this and what to get and do cheers

Timing belt kit - £59
Thermostats - £23
Headset - £37
Head bolt set - £9
Valves (IF BENT) - £3.60 each
Oil - £9
Oil filter - £1.80

I wouldn't say you needed all of it, but it would be a good idea while you've got the engine apart to replace them, as you've have to take the engine apart again after to replace those parts.

You don't NEED it all, but its probably the best thing to do if you're sorting the head out.
The water pump's collapse and snap the cambelt, so its probably wise to do that, and if your engine overheated, new thermostats isnt a bad idea either.

well my cambelt hasnt snapped just replacing incase whilst im at it ill go to partco and get priced up on all above parts see what they say if i can afford it all ill get it all if no ill get the main things i can afford and get the rest within a week or so how do i do this job mate?
