We have one at work, I was going to put it in at home but I couldn't be arsed to pay for it and my LAN is much faster.

I've got Intel Pro Wireless network adaptors - not bad but a wire is better and more reliable.
Have one PC in my room and one downstairs in me dad's office. Solved the physical problem of wiring and is good - but costly compared to a cable.
I'd recommend it though if you can - more tidier.

Run them under floodboards leni, cable length could be an issue though!

Im running a Netgear Wireless network...pretty easy to use and set up...the range is massive over 100 metres but the signal weekens if you have too travel through more than say three or four walls.
Worth every penny though.

We use them at work on the laptops not at home yet....about £40 now for a wireless network card, well cheap! but you need the router as well
