Decided to find out what power my Corsa VXR was running, so took it to Abbey Motorsport in Surrey for a session on their Dynapack.

Graphs attached:

Found out that it was over fuelling at higher rev range, which meant that the power was dropping off. Need to get this sorted and Abbey reckon I will see 15-20bhp extra - which means it will be running what I expected.

Very pleased with torque and boost though

The guys at Abbey Motorsport were great... they know their stuff and were very helpful.

Oh no! First mods were after 2 weeks of getting it!

Custom Chrome Racing exhaust system, K&N induction (the car was used by K&N for development), plus EDS flash.

It is open cone, but removing it won't make any difference. Saw the car at K&N while they were developing the kit and it actually gave a stronger power curve over the standard air box, and it didn't lose any power. As it didn't lose power and the heat stayed within their 3 degree comfort zone (even when on idle for 20 mins) they were happy enough. Always had reservations about open cones, but now I've witnessed the development I'm happy!

whys that? theres no way its better then a closed system like a bmc regardless of what k&n claim, but if it was free or reduced cost with no adverse effects then fair enough

Was free, and as it gave a better power curve with no power loss there's no reason to get rid of it!

As I don't know who you are, why would I want to bait you?!

Mine's already due for a few more mods Plus need to get overfuelling sorted... then that will be it on the VXR! Can't go mad on this one with the other one in the garage!
