my c20xe in my corsa is doin my head in it will be running ok n ill be goin along n it will start to spluter n choke, n have no power n then not even run for more than a few seconds. iv tryd cts n cleaning icv any help?? im also running standard 1600 bore cnt imagen that helpin??
also cant get heaters to work (blow warm air)? could it be air in the system?? would it matter if the heater matrix pipes are the rong way round? or if there was a slite air leak in the system

mate 2 things,
1) its an XE - they never work 100% nor will you ever stop fixing problems
2) i think you have answered your first "things to try" in your post.

also if i disconect my battery n let the ecu reset it will work ok for abit

Crank sensors can break down when they start to get warm and thats a sensor your engine wont run without. try unplugging the AFM and see if it drives ok like that.
If you can get it up to speed before it cuts out then watch the revs while its dying (leave it in gear as you slow down) and the rev counter should gradually go down like normal. if it shoots up and down or goes to 0 (basically reads wrong) then id be looking at the crank sensor

iv try unplugin afm wen idling n it stays the same i have tryed drivin it like that yet tho, cheers luke

iirc when you unplug the afm it should die.if it don't then your afm is nackered

Shouldnt die without the AFM connected..... thats how i knew mine had had it. Wouldnt run with it connected but if i unplugged it things were good (except the EM light).
Drove it like that for a few months till I found a new AFM and it was fine after that

Is your header tank topped up? If not, do a compression test.
