imo (biased) opinion, rooney should be made captain, in a few years when hes matured a little more he'll be man utds captain, nobody of his age group are likely to be able to lead england for the next 8 years, which is what we need imo

king can do holding role. but weve got hargeaves and carrick for that. i think kings a quality defender despite what some people will say.

I think it should be one of the defenders - generally they always seem to do a good job, have a good overall view of the pitch and can often see whats going wrong.
A keep sometime can be even better as they have the best view but then they struggle to get messages around being so restricted to their area

I don't think Sol Campbell will play that often and Rio doesn't come across as being diplomatic!
Gareth Barry doesn't have a high enough profile, hasn't played in Europe has he?
As for Rooney, I think it will be a few years yet before his temper gets under control to allow him to be captain.
