What does it do?

Will I notice anything if I bin it? as mine is getting tatty and is all grubby

I assume its sound insulation


old 1.2 didnt have it

I didnt have one on my 1.6 sport so i took it off my tigra before i scrapped it. Does make a small difference i found, so ive kept it

Does keep a bit of noise down. But took mine off when i had the xe was put in as i was advised to due to the heat.

I never had one on my 1.2 8v but my 1.6 sport had one fitted. I took mine off because it was sagging down slightly and my lexmaul inlet was slowly burning it. Since then i've just never been bothered to put it back.

So I wont notice that much difference? I think My mantzel maybe touching it as when I am sitting in traffic I get some steam occasionally from under the bonnet


But when you open it there is nothing there so it would point to it been that


Might take it off and keep it to see if i notice a difference


How do they come off? I have never looked

I kept mine on, gradually the induction kit began to fray the fabric where the succsion occured then sold it

Its meant to be sound deadening, but all it does is add extra weight, hold water so your car rots quicker.

It also covers up the bit they didn't paint on models which were specced with them
