Couldn't you drop to a lower monthly rental for a flat etc and use the money to save towards a house?

£600, pffft. Lot of money when you're paying someone elses mortgage

Flats are only £20 a month less and I'd rather pay the extra and have a garden for my daughter

Estate agent has just rung and said that we've got the house. Move in on october 1st as we need to wait for my wages for the deposit and they need to install a shower and new bath panel.
Can't wait now as it means me and the wife will have our own bedroom again!

Been buying loads of stuff over the last couple of weeks. Brought my sister in laws fridge off her for £150. She paid over £300 about 3 months ago.
Found a couple of nice sofas in tesco!
Just trying to work out how much water and electric are gonna be now

Just ordered 2 of these

£145 each which I thought was a good price plus I'll get £13 back in clubcard vouchers.
Been packing everything up the last couple of nights. Haven't actually got as much stuff as I thought, although I haven't been up in the loft yet

Bought one of these yesterday.

£25. Just need a TV to go on it now.

Finishing work early today to get keys and start moving stuff in. Can't wait until the weekend to get in there and give my daughter her own bedroom again.

Got the keys yesterday and went round to start moving stuff in. (Not actually moving in until friday as I'm on lates this week) Went in the bathroom and the carpet was absolutely soaked. Looks like they cocked up when they we installing the new shower and the cistern (sp) is leaking everywhere. Phoned the agency and they said they'd get a contractor out today. Wife went round this morning and its overflowed from the bowl we put down and is now in the floorboards.

Actually moving in today. My wife and mother in law have spent all week cleaning it. Apparently had to get a screwdriver on the oven as looked like it had never been cleaned.
Leak from toilet has now been sorted and will hopefully be getting some vinyl laid in the bathroom soon.
Washing machine arrived this morning and sofas should arrive at some point today.
Hopefully get some pics up once we've got everything in but gonna have to try and do it at work as won't be getting internet at home for a while

Just had some bloke ring me to tell me that he's coming to fit the new bathroom floor this afternoon. Apparently he's just gonna bring a load of different stuff and we can choose whatever we want.
Hopefully get a couple of bits to finish things off on friday and that get some pics up

Bloke eventually turned up last night to do the floor, said he'd be there between 4 and 5 and turned up about 6.30
Looks so much better now though. Its only a wood style vinyl but it makes the room look so much lighter

Thought I'd post a pic up of the new TV now its all set up. Only got a 26" in the end as anything bigger would of made the room look to small
