got 2 choices for speakers atm.
1st is a set of component speakers.
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4603.html
2nd is 2 subs and an amp that a mate is selling for £100, all in a box and stuff.
amp: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230221143027&ih=013&category=4950&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1
subs x2: http://www.jemmtrading.co.uk/xplosion-12-subwoofer-52-p.asp
which one would be better to buy?
mainly play drum&bass or hip hop.
cheers in advance.

For that type of music you may be better with the sub and amp although it depends what you already have and whether you are eventually going to upgrade the rest of the system.

well unless youve got an amp too power the comps they sound a bit poo and not very loud
and that sub and amp dont look the best ones ive ever seen either
i'd save up for a decent set of comps and a 4 channel amp and then just add a sub later on

with ice theres no ways around it you pay for what you get, something that i beleive in is that a crap headunit will give crap sound no matter what components, subs or amps you use after all it is the first in the chain. i reccomend you save up, deal with the shit tinny sound for a few months and buy a good headunit, something with a few pre outs that you can use as a base to build a full system
orrrrr you can go the chav way, buy a shite headunit, wire up a crap pair of boxed subs from ebay use crap quality wireing and drive about booom booooming all the time woop woo
people will respect you more for having a system that sounds good inside the car than outside

I would deffo go for the component speakers. The amp is pretty much a pound land special, and i bet you would get a better sound out the good old SPLX subs for half that price.
