The sky round ours looked really nice before so I snapped it
used ISO 100 f11 with about a 1/60 shutter speed

looks better than mine lol, alos any tips of taking images of the sun all the ones i get have a massive "fuzz/glow" around it

Always meter above the sun.
No need for tripod is sun is still visible.

I find slightly under exposing helps as it tends help capture detail that otherwise would be burned out.

Point the camera above the sun then press the EV lock button. Keep it pressed and then recompose the shot, focus and shoot.

When you press the shutter button half down in most cases although with slr's you can set a button to only meter and not do all the other stuff that happens when you press the shutter half down.
