iv been offered a 1.4 16v engine out of a p plate astra thats quite cheap. i went to have a look at it and give it a quick check over and all seems good.
now my question is what are the engine codes on the 1.4 16v engines for this year? i thought there was only the x14xe but this has a different inlet manifold to the ones in the corsa.

is there not an 14XEP and 14XEL and 14XE1 or something.....might be one of those lol

just had a search through migweb and it seems its a x14xel are these the same power as x14xe as the inlet cant be as restrictive

I'd probably say a few bhp down but slightly more torque

yeah just read that aswell lol 88bhp but more torque. should have searched 1st
