My dads Cav is having problems... it overheated yesterday, and now whenever i put water into the tank it basically pisses straight out from somehwere around the block of the engine.
Any ideas as to what this could be ????
and if so how much am i lookin at to fix it.

head gasket? is the oil all creamy coloured.?
is there any water on the ground when you tip the fresh water into the tank.

id say its blown the water pump to shit! Or just blown a hose off, go looking round the engine you will see where its coming from if its leaking that bad

Look to see where it is coming from, probably a split pipe or blown a pipe off like richard said

the pump itself works fine as when the engines on the water comes gushing out fatser than if its off, its defo not the head gasket, all pipes seem to be fine too, water seems to be cuming from the block were the water pump goes in.. ??
