Is i possible to put a 2.0 8v head on a 1.4 8v engine?
What gains would you get.....and also any probs?

No its not the head would be 1and a half inches too big

deffinatly, u really have a range for vauxhall engines where
1.2,1.4,1.6 (Smallblock) are quite interchangable,
then u have a small block 1.8 and a big block 1.8 if im not mistaken(might be wrong)
and then you have your 2.0l which i think is versitile with the big block 1.8l,
thats pretty much the catergories they come in i think, some one put me straight that im not 100% positive but quite sure

no it wont fit 1.4 is small block and 2.0 is big.why would you want to do this anyway?
think its the 1.6 that comes in both big ans small block not the 1.8

ye 1.6 8v engine is almost identical to 1.4 8v. you could fit the 1.6 8v head onto your engine. or so ive been told.

a mate of mine said he put a 2.0 head on his 1.4 engine....i told him it wont fit....but he was arguing saying it will......thanks for the info! i can let him know he's wrong now
