Went out on a photo mission to take some photo's for my portfolio and that.
Most turned out really well from the like 80 i took lol.
These are just the first 3 ive uploaded. I havent photoshopped them at all apart from the borders on 2.
Quite pleased with the outcomes as i was in full manual mode inc. manual flash strength when used.
What you lot think? Im quite pleased/ as said i'll upload when ive got them on comp
edit . and the whitebalance isnt off the lights were just REALLY orange lol.

Pretty good pics Although i'm not that keen on the last one.
I'm no professional, but i'd like to offer some of my (possibly useless) advice...
I think you've gone a little overboard with the angles of the crop. If the car filled more of the frame then it might look better.
Considdering the car is the focal point of the picture, i think it needs better lighting. I would be better if you could find somewhere with some white lights.
If the pics are going to be used for your portfolio i would have cleaned, or got your mate to clean the car a bit. It just looks like more effort/thought has been put into the shot.
Here are some pics I took a few years ago. As i said, i'm no professional but you get the idea. These have had a bit of photoshop work carried out on them.

Like the first two, but I'd have either altered the colour tones on the camera to give a whiter result, or edit it in photoshop to not be quite so orange. That said, red car and orange lighting works well, whilst hoddos looks better with white lighting and a blue car.

anyway dan_c4rsa i hope you don't mind, but i had a play about with the first pic in photoshop.
Does look a little bit over processed, but I kinda like it.

what blukoo said really. get yourself a torch possibly an L.E.D one so its nice and white then when doing a long exposure shine it on the car to give it a little more definition.

Yeah, that colour balance looks better now.
Still hurts my neck looking at it though. Is that the angle the original picture was taken at, or did you just crop it like that?

i would re-shoot using a flashlight or something, do normal angels and crop as you feel neccessary.

white balance is slightly 'blue' on the lamp shots, but a nice good, polish and then a lamp would work well.

I think it always looks better under exposed as long as the car stands out:
