yes i know its an astra but i dont have many options of who to ask.

Im in a bit of a pickle at the minute, i cannot get into the astra!
Its been stood outside for quite a few weeks now and im guessing the battery is now completely flat.

Went out to it today and pressed the key fob and nothing!
Got no locks in the front handle's and the key wont work for the rear lock

Tryed the coat hanger trick(could do this easily on my old corsa) but cannot open the lock for love nor money.
Cannot get to the bonnet cable either, even though the bumper and grille are off.

PLEASE if anybody can let me know if there is a way of getting in, or even just under the bonnet.

would be best to u2u me.

cheers.

Don't go for the cable go for the lever the cable attaches to. Woulda thought you'd be able to get that with the grill and bumper off.

Tried allsorts with the bonnet latch/lever with no luck, even tried prising(sp) the bonnet where the latch is but it just wants to bend the slam panel.

there is no lock at all in the front door handle's so drilling a hole would be pointless.and i cant get to the scrappies at all.

Borrow a jack from a mate, get underneath and attach a battery booster to your starter.

If you can get underneath the car slightly, try and pull the bonnet release cable ? See where it comes through the firewall and give it a yank.

Urm..if the coat hanger trick dont work then not a clue...

woohoo, realised my bonnet vent is right over the battery so just broke that off and attached some jump leads through the hole(bit tricky) and managed ot get enough power to open the car up!
