looking for a live behind the headlight swith console. basicly i need a live power wire which i can run power to my gauges for the lights, so that when the headlights are on my gauges are lit, and the headlights are off theres no power.

i had a look at the back of the control and it looks like there are 3 or 4 thick wires, red yellow grey and one with a tracer on it. which one would be the live for when the headlights are on.


anyone got any ideas, i tried using a multi meter but my ones fckd, so that didnt work, anyone got a wiring diagram or done this same thing, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connect to the grey/green wire which comes from the headlight switch
between the red and white/yellow wires on the bottom row of the switch

I said conect to well the live wire for your gauge obviosly conect it to that wire on the headlight swtch

ahhh got ya, connect the live red from the gauge to the grey/green wire on the bottom row,,

i'll give it a go and see if it works

Also incase you didnt know the wiring plug clips off the dash for easyer access
