What are the custom C20XE shafts and hubs like compared to X16XE ones.
Are they stronger or is it the same to use the 1.6 ones?
Just wondering if it's worth buying the MTEC or Chris Ashley ones TBH.
P.s this is for XE conversion in Corsa

The size difference in shafts is quite a lot.

Used x16xe shafts and cav inner CV's iirc with mine. Was fine the time i had it and its still going strong now and it got it hard sometimes!

The shafts are a fair bit fatter but for an XE Id go for the GSi shafts and cav inners, the weak parts are the CV joints not the shafts and for the power I wouldnt worry about using the smaller CVs. Im sure I read somewhere that philsutton off here was running them on his 400bhp LET

if they can handle 300 brake though gsi shafts, im sure they'll be find on an xe...
the only reason i would run big shafts, is if i was to use the equal lengh setup, otherwise i wouldn't bother

Im runnign gsi shafts and never broken one, reason for that is probably down to it breaks traction before any real force is put through them. If I had some really sticky tyres and launched at 5k in 2nd gear ive probably snap one.

Awsome. So in terms of the shafts for the x16xe to c20xe conversion all I need is different CV joints? Where can I get these new and what ones am I looking for?
Then it's just the engine mounts.

I think (but not 100%) you only need the cav inner CV's and you should be able to get them from vaux
