Any help appreciated with how to create a website.
Have had several people/companys start this for me and have been let down everytime.
So I have decided to do it myself. That way if nothing else i will know how to edit it as i go along.
Will be fairly basic text and pictures, no videos message board etc etc.
Although nothing like this in design this is the sort of thing i am looking at
http://www.greenwoodautoservices.co.uk/index.htm
Similar to this in so much as its easily navigated by a series of bubbles and the text and [pictures will obviously change with each page.
Want it created so that I can easily add/remove extra links(bubbles).
I'm not after anything too fancy.
Now i'm a complete novice at this so any help would be much appreciated or if you can point me in the right direction with any useful programmes/websites.
Many thanks Ainsley

that website is very simple yet effective, it does exactly what it needs to do.
You can get fancywithout gong into to much detail.
Best thing s to do a basic "paint" drawing of what you want and then people could do you templates for you to work with.
If i had my PC still i wuld have created something in dreamweaver to get you going. Unfortunately i'm on a shitty laptop now with no programs.
Also i found that having an FTP program helps quick uploads and simple editing when i had a few sites years ago.

I wouldn't say it was dogshit as such personally. The site serves its purpose fine. Consistent navigation, lots of useful information on there; contact details, map, etc.
Looking at the bigger picture, the site design isnt very good, the site doesnt validate through w3c, and the site is made with tables.
You need a bit of HTML knowledge at a minimum to be able to add extra links and pages really though.
