Bought it back in 2006, Existing Spec

C20xe,
Koni 40mm Adjustable Shocks,
Green Cotton Induction Kit,
2 Litre Brakes,
Full Magnex System,
Cheap ass Bucket Seats,
Cavalier Gsi Slab wheels,
Fully Smoothed Gsi Kit,

Plan was to enjoy it and do bits and bobs along the way incl. changing the seats etc

Changed the wheels for a set of cdx wheels i had off my old nova

Then fitted a Mtech Powercap , new alternator, battery etc. also remove the rocker cover gave it s good clean up and a lick of paint.

Also increased stopping power with a set of Grooved and Drilled discs and green stuffed pads. One night the brakes overheated and the discs got warped so i uprated again to a set of V6 brakes.

The next plan was a measure of power so i attended the Total Vauxhaull Corsasport DynoDay

The power run produced 154.2bhp but dissapointing torque figure of 133.5 ft.lb

Enjoyed the car for a few more months and planned to replace the clutch as i thought this was the fault causing the low torque fiqure,

Was out one night and driving along and a nice man in white van decided to pull out on me and then drive off, and i didnt get any details.

Damage was Dented wing, Badly damaged wheel, smashed headlight, snapped grill, bent bonnet and my lovely smoothed bumper all cracked and shattered.

Mot was coming up and didnt have time to fix her, so i took her off the road to improve her a bit.

Ordered a few parts over the coming months incl. Fully Adjustable FK Koni Coilovers, New petrol Tank, braided hoses , OMP half cage, got a whole nova gsi for parts incl interior and carried on sourcing bits and bobs.

This last week i decided to get some work done at my friends.

Plans were rebuild/refurb rear axle, Underseal and tidy up back half , fit new petrol tank, fit new interior and tidy up internal paintwork, This is how the week went.

Let work commence

Cheap bastards at koni expected you to use the old dust cover and bushes which is a joke for the amount you pay, and you have to drill them out, so here my friend geoff (G man)

Also it was suggested that i paint the drums but im unsure know

Axle went From this
t

To this

Dry underseal

New tank fitted

New Interior in

Sprayed Rear archs, still plans to add speakers thats why theres a hole, also going add orginal floor pannels to make it look stock

And just making sure it runs after the new full tank, and the fuel gauges were working right

And then took her home, still needs work to get her for the mot then get the wing painted

Plan is to put GSI bumpers in black plastic with gsi skirts and black cdx wheels for a more subtle look.

Drums are somtimes more balanced and dont really need rear discs on XE bit of a waste of cash really, just a set of decent fronts do
