MR2 will be ace so long as you dont take it out in the wet!
In the dry its a very capable car, 300bhp easy for no money at all which would be decent to start with. Solid engines, same as Celica GT4's etc. Bit of money on suspension wheels/tyres & breaks & you'll be laughing!!

R32 GTR if you can bare the costs keeping it in clutches/brakes etc.... strip it severly and it wont be too heavy on consumables

Nice MR2 here for say 4500, £1k will give you 300bhp, leaving £2.5k for suspension brakes & tyres.

not much tracks allow it but i heard that mr2s are crap at over 100mph go very light and twitchy at the front end
