Also coming out this morning is that DIC are coming back to the negotiating table.

Rumours that have already been doing the rounds are that Hicks cant come up with the money to buy Gilletts shares (well, to match DICs offer) and the veto period runs out in May - and Gillett already has a deal agreed with DIC for when this period does run out.

Serious question

What would you do if DIC take over and nothing improves and behind the scenes stuff continues but with Arabs instead of Yanks?

Probably the same we (some - not me) are doing now - protests and stupid actions to try to force them out. It would be 10000000x harder though as DIC have a bottomless pit of money to throw at investments in whatever way they see fit.

Fans dont see DIC as this great saviour, they just see them as the lesser of two evils when compared to the shite happening under the Yanks at the moment. That, and the fact the CEO Sameer Al Ansari was educated in the UK and has been a Liverpool fan attending matches since well before DICs interests, is helping fans see them as the better option.

Basically DIC are the only ones who have been sniffing about who have the cash available to them without having to load debt onto the club. Im sure if it went to a bidding war you'd see a few other groups interested - but I seriously doubt any of them could purchase us without putting debt onto the club - aswell as fund a new stadium thats going to cost £300m+.

Looks like its not stopping signings..

"We are working on trying to improve the squad for next season," said Benitez. "We have some movements for next season, so we will continue trying to do the same.

"At least we are trying to go forward. We have had meetings with the scouting department, we talk about targets and they travel all around the world talking with players and agents. We are trying to do our job.

"We were this morning progressing in some issues and we will do the same. We have some signings for the next season done. They are senior players for the first team and young players for the first team and reserve team. Two of them are really close, young players, and one senior player is done. He talks good English, but is not English."

Rumours are that the senior player is Rafina.

Do you know much about rafinha cosmo?

Rafas got a very good record in terms of defensive signings so hopefully he's another shrewd one if it's true.

Did you know that his name means 'little rafa' some good song potential there!
