Yes, its taken me a while but here are some picture i have taken, (please npte they have not been processed so may not look that good:

cheeky fuck - i have a tripod, not lugging that aroound with my while i'm learning the god damn camera!


Pi size is just because i never reduced them from my camera and D-SLRs taken alot bigger pictures.

post process em, like the sea shot make the horizon horizontal.

it was striht on my viewfinder... Maybe i posted the wron picture...
As my mag said, line the horizon up with the viewfinders spots.

so tips from the first pictures please?

Whats you fav settings to piss about with when out snapping?
I know about the horizon thing, i think the picture is iss leading due to the water taper'ing away from the actual horizon

Doesn't matter, it should be straight. Doesn't matter if you post process, so long as it looks right.

What mode did you use? Auto, manual, Tv, Av?

Try and not use Auto - practise in Tv or Av first, then move to full manual if you can - you'll feel better knowing that you set up the shot, rather than just pressing the button

the horizon is stright, there is a shadow on the water or soething that akes it fal away... look at the very top of the "line".

TBH i was playing about with all of the settings. I remembers the TV setting from an earlier post and i also used th landscape pre-set.

TBH, the horizon doesn't LOOK straight - whether its a trick of the eye or not. For instance, the second shots is far from square to the horizon.

As it stands they look unfinished - two seconds in photoshop and they're sorted

I'm not having a go, I often take shots that aren't lined up quite right, it isn't a problem, just needs correcting.
