Right, when i foolishly tugged on my headunit trying to get it out one day i "accidentaly" oulled the arial off my headunit and "thus" the aerial connection is fucked. Does n e 1 kno if i can just put a new connection on or do i need to put a new bloomin cable in, all the way from the aerial, along the roof, down the frame, behind the dash and back to where my headunits ass will be sitting?!?!

Any decent ICE store should sell you a new plug for a couple of quid. Its relatively easy to fit a replacement .

On the subject of aerials mine is really rubbish! The only channel it can pick up clearly is radio 1! Its def not the head unit cause both my head units have done the same and the connection at the head unit is fine! Has anyone got any ideas what I should be looking for, or doing to try and fix the prob??

lol to my knowledge the blue wire is only used for motorised aeriels, not standard ones. You can get an in line aerial amplifier, but it prob wont do much. Replace the original aerial with a bee sting or something, worked wonders for my car in the mountinous region of wales As far as repairing ur plug, go 2 halfords and say the connection in ur vauxhall for the aerial has snapped off, and they'll sort u out with a new connector that u simply crimp on to the inner core and outer shielding sections.

I buggered my aerial connection too. Bought an extension cable for £3, stripped the wire off the old cable and joined it up to the extension. Its just co-ax so dead eay wire up. Works a treat now perfect reception and with havin an extension you can plug it into your head unit easily.
