1.0 12v i wont go there again.

the head went on mine and it lead to all sorts of problems just ended up changing the engine in the end. i have a 1.4 8v now and it runs spot on. love it.

Your right just because its a small engine doesnt mean its crap, however the 12v is. Its a seriously shocking engine and all it ever seems to do is chug.

Well you must have got a shitter or something, both mine and Fonz's are fine.

And if you're on about a lumpy idle, that is normal, having 3 cylinders. I had a similar sized engine Yaris courtesy car, 3 cylinder, 12v. That also had lumpy idle. You could just feel it less because the car is better built.

12v's are slow, yes. A rubbish engine? I wouldn't say so.


My 12v has almost 56k on the clock and its never broken down or given me any probs.
