How do you decide which format to get your games on?

It is annoying as FUCK.
I've mostly got mates who play on PS3 so that tends to sway me (as it did with GTA) but alot of people on here play it on 360 
And I've only had to decide with GTA so far

I wanted to play Metal Gear Solid 4 so got the ps3 console.
All my idiot mates had 360 also.

I love the Wii Kerry but you're going to choose one of these 2 over it when choosing a multi format game!!

Yeah i have all 3 and i buy my games on the PS3 due to my mates all have PS3 and i think it is a better console.
