Hi all,
New here. Just bought a Corsa SXi 1.2 for my sons first car, he loves it and it drives really well. Problem is I am not sure if it is belt or chain driven. Some info from the web says belt some says chain. The dealer I bought it from said it was belt but didn't need changing till 72,000. I wasn't convinced with that so I called a main dealer and they said if it's a 1.2 it's chain, now I'm confused.
The car is the revamp model registered end of Jan 04 on a 53 plate. Any one know for sure? any help would be much appreciated.

Its a chain. Just keep an eye on it, if the chain starts to become very noisy, get it changed.
Other than that, its fine

100,000 miles is the life for a chain IIRC

Yeah, 100k is the interval. Normally they get noisy before. If it starts sounding like a diesel on tick-over, get it changed.
