I have just bought a 1.4 16v pre 97 i love it but i need to sort a few things out like the front bumper doesnt fit properly. it looks like the previous owner has stuck the plastic arch and the bumper with some kind of filler because of a broken clip..... (is this common?)
i really want a post 97 bumper on it will this fit without modifying the bonnet arches or anything else??
im lost and really need someone who knows what they are doing 2 give me some advice.....
any help would be brilliant
thanks all
o btw im buying new plastic arch pieces so will have new clips in there just want to kno if this will fit
thanks again

Hi mate, Welcome to corsasport.
The post-97 bumper will bolt straight onto the original mounting points without a problem - just make sure you also buy a grille to go with it.
Most people with post-97 bumpers choose a badgeless slatted grille, available from http://www.corsacentre.com or ebay.
With your new arch, the whole lot should fit perfectly again Just make sure you buy a genuine Vauxhall bumper, as the copies don't fit too well

Its not a GM part, and has a solid plastic one piece lower splitter moulded to the bumper, not a two piece rubber one - a instant sign of a copy.
A couple of people on this forum have that bumper, and its not that great fitting.
Your probably best to buy a second hand one, and get it sprayed to match your car.

Not my colour - mines dark blue (Polar Sea blue).
If its purple, its Aurora Purple, so there isnt much chance of finding one second hand.
I'd personally just buy a second hand one, then get it sprayed, but its your choice.
