if they are reflective and in the correct uk font and size, i cant see why they would be illegal..
saying that, im probably worng - i dunno

Yes they are but the have to be legal font, size etc! So you wont get the 'euro look' that everyone ossociates them with! 
You wouldnt even know they are pressed from a distance tbh! Remember, all the old plates were pressed!

That person's correct. You can buy legal pressed plates from Craigs Plates.

The law states that 'stylised' letters are illegal and must be replaced.
I'm sure, that technically, they could challenge you on this count.
Depends on one's interpretations of stylised I guess.

the law has changed on number plates its no biggy and no reference too pressed plates,
you are now allowed carbon fibre or patterned letters on uk plates as long as they have a certain percentage of black on them and the font is correct!
no biggy but still interesting

ive had the pressed plates from dubmeister on my car for ages (illegal font) and never once been stopped or any query

Only Standard UK plates with correct font, spacing & size are legal.
