Ive acquired a ripspeed dvd player and like all others there is a lead that should go to the handbreak. I tried earthing it to the headunit and/or cage but it isnt working properlly. Can i wire it to the neg of the handbreak? If not where would be a good earthing point?
Any help appreciated

Just wire it into the earth cable coming off the radio block - earthing it to the cage won't work, as the cage isn't earthed to the car.

The newer units you can actuley turn the feature off on the radio in the hidden menu if you've got an older unit take it to an earth on the radio block as says above
