Is the speedo in the dash or the sat nav more accurate?

Only ask as my sat nav is exactly 5 MPH faster than my dash, and theres this new set of roadworks on a 50mph dual carrigeway near me, and they dropped the speed limit to 30mph and have average check cameras. So i have to drive at 30mph (on dash), but it just seems soooo slow, and i get people up my arse and overtaking. So am i actually driving at 25 in the roadworks and my dash is 5MPH out all the time.

Car is 2002 suzuki Grand Vitara, BUT IM GETTING BACK TO VAUXHALLS SOON =]

The Sat Nav will be more accurate.

If your dash is reading 30mph and your Sat Nav is reading 25mph then you are doing 25mph.

Car speedometers are set from factory to over read...when you get nearer 100mph they are around 10% out.

yea, usually under read by about min 5%, if not more..

the fast you go, the more inaccurate they are..

eg in my corsa, at 78mph(dials) = 70mph(real speed)
