Right...
I was envolved in an accident with an old woman. Cut a long story short, i was reversing up a quiet side street and the old woman pulled out of a parking spot into me damaging my rear bumper and ive damaged her driver side door and driver side wing. Shes blaming me and im blaming her for the cause of the accident.
I have 2 witnesses and i have told the insurance the whole story ect ect.
What i want to know is how will the insurance company's settle who's fault it was?
BTW: im with norwich union

hmmm, i take it the old dears car was moving forward out of her space and not reversing? if she was, then i would of said old dear is to blame, as she has alot of vision there and could of stopped.

If she's joining the road it's her fault for not seeing you. Never admit blame even if it's obvious - let the insurance companies sort it.
Sounds like you'll be fine. Shame your rear bumper won't be!

if they dont solve it then they mite go 50 50. . . . my mums case wasnt sorted for over 2 years......and had to go to court to sort it.... we won.....

The police came down and they said theres nothing they can do about it, "Its a civil matter and you will have to sort it out yourselfs"

a pillok pulled out of a side road in the wet my dad hit the brakes slid into him hes trying to say we were speeding BOLLOKS we had air bags n pretensiones none of em went off. any way that was a year ago it still aint sorted shud be soon i hope

usually 50/50 doesnt make much diff on circs. you were reversing down a street and should have been aware. so should she.
cant see you getting a better result.
im a solicitor dealing in personal injury by the way.

in november the 11th i think a van drove into the back of me when i was stationary at a roundabout, the claim is still going on. his insurance company is trying to avoid paying etc and taking ages hoping we will forget bout it.

My mum had similar one, she was reversing and another woman cut a corner into a car park on wrong side of the road and went into the back of her. Went court eventually several thing, insurance companies said blame was on neither part for the car. The other woman they had claim for whiplass somehow. Anyway at court the judge had to favour this other woman 60:40 as he said reversing is the more dangerous manouver, but then said he didn't belive a word this other woman said! Go figure, anyway not made diff to us got car fixed free!
