Hi all
i have a corsa 1.5 TD (n reg). its been off the road for nearly a year now.
Right i went out to it few weeks ago, and it started eventually, but poured out tonnes of white smoke (didnt previous.)
So i decided to give her a service.
1) Cam Belt
2) Air Filter
3) Oil Filter (not as yet done)
4) Fuel Filter
5) Engine Cleaner (not as yet done)
6) Rad Flush (not as yet done)
Previous to the above, it started, tonnes of white smoke, and ran smoothly at idle. Since having done those bits, and replacing the sump. She starts ok, sometimes tad slow starting, but on idle jumps around, chugging trying to cut out. At higher revs runs smoothly, but still smokey. Not as bad, but still white smoke. I let her warm up today, and she still trys cutting out after reving her then letting her drop back to idle.
I thought it may have been just air in the diesel system after replacing the filter, but according to haynes manual, its a self bleeding system and doesnt require any assistance.
Im also 100% sure the timming isnt out, as a checked, checked and checked a further 10 times at all markings lined up, and locked the fuel pump, and cam into position.
It must be something i have missed, or maybe air still in the diesel system.
Any advice would be much appreciated as this is bugging me.
Many thanks
