Has anybody got any idea how much players in the Championship and League1 & 2 are earning? Several Scunthorpe players live on my street and seem to have some pretty expensive motors and very very nice houses. It was the Plymouth goalie thing that got me thinking.

At the likes of Sheff Utd and Wolves yeah.

I'd be shocked if teams like Barnsley had anyone over £10k.

Max wage at Luton is £3k or thereabouts. But some of those players are still on CCC wages.

Thats what I thought Nath, Wolves, Sheff Utd, Sheff Weds etc. I heard Geoff Horsfield is on 8k a week at Scunny!! Just curious as to what an average League 1 player would be on.

Was possibly a one off to try and stay up, they also went for Adebola but he wanted 10k Scunny have got money put away, never spent the money they got for Sharpe and Keogh, Wharton the Chairman is a renowned tight badger.

One of my best friends is on £2,200 at Leeds, first team regular, he has taken 4 wage cuts since they were relegated from the PL.

Championship average salary is £195k

League 1 £67k

League 2 £49k

I think Burnley have a few high earners on 8-10k a week like Robbie Blake, Caldwell, Akinbiyi etc.

Yeah, surprising isn't it, would have thought league 2 would average around 30k - no wonder these clubs are getting into trouble. Burnley strikers must be on around 250-300k a year!

i doubt many/any wolves players are on 10k. the only ones who possibly could are Matt Muarry and Olifinjana. all the others didnt survive the cull, and got replaced with cheap nobodies. i'd say most or first team earns under 7-8k
