The bokeh looks ok on it. What lens is it?

Watch out for over exposure on white things. If in doubt - underexpose slightly then you at least have the texture that is recoverable.

Looks nice and sharp too.

post up a shot with aperture wide open on it with a darker less textured background if you get time.

Nice shots, but too much zoom IMO.

Take the last shot for example, masses of green round the neck and head, but barely any of the body of the swan which is the subject.

First shot I would have also zoomed out a little and got the swans foot in shot.

What lens?

Swans are difficult to photograph and expose for as the dynamic range is usually beyond that of the camera.

yes, still learning exposure tbh.

Its the canon 55-250mm IS lens - Reason why i was zoomed in so much is because the swan had young and was spoiling the pictures, they were fallig over and tbh, i i cropped the image they would look better hehe...

See a bit of comedy falling over would have made the shot by making it more unusual and interesting

I know you probably didnt, but never shoot with the purpose to crop the image.

i dont, i always try and get full frame, problem being is that i was quite wary of the swans as they were moving with there signets,I had to snap and move at the same time to avoid being attacked by em haha
