....round town in my 1.2 8v? I'm on 16"s with BFO filter and back box......but even by taking it easy, i'm only gettin 20-23mpg.....seems crap?
i mean on motorways its fine, i can do bout 120 miles on a tenner, but round town i'm gettin bout 50 miles from same amount of petrol. Obvisouly i dont expect 50mpg round town, but is 20mpg realistic from a 1.2 8v?

This week i have been mostly driving like a granny, and not using full throttle. Im on 170 mile, and ive still half a tank left.
Fuck knows how long its gonna last though

i get only 23 or some mpg on my 1.2 8 valve around town

hmmm mite be rite then. Although very reliable and capable of taking a good caning, the 1.2 8v engine really are crap. Very slow and uneconomical around town.

I get around 280-300miles to a tank in my 1.6. I hammer it around most of the time too! My 1.2 was shit for economy.

my 1.4 i get 200 miles out of a full tank if i driver round town but thats cause i take it to very high revs
i have got 370 miles out of a tank b4

thats ridiculous mpg - i'm getting around 21mpg on my golf, so u lot should be getting a lot more!!

lol my mate has a 1.8 turbo seat ibiza and he fitted his dump valve and we were goin round town and u could literally see the fuel goin down
it screwed up his cat
now he fitted another dump valve and he's getting 15 miles to the gallon if he pushes his car even remotely lol
mind u if u can afford a car like that i guess u can afford the petrol

i know i know, i like the hi revs too,
my mpg is ridiculously silly tho!

I got 1.4 16v and my economy is well shite. I get 200 miles and i got eco tek valve fitted. My mums audi tt has better fuel economy!
