threw up eml light which was paperclipped to find 43 Primary ignition (distributor systems) High voltage, i cehcked the resistance which was 6.9k, and 6.8k yes the coil multi plug was disconnected and the multimeter was done as autodata suggested in the top 2 first then the bottom 2.
Book resistance is 5.7K btw, should i go about replacing it?

i had that fault come up but just guest it was the coil pack i had a spear one and just swapped it over never had the problem since

im going to smash some bosch diagnostics on it tomorrow and see what happens

You had a check on the wiring and leads? Corrosion on the connectors can mess about with voltages and resistance in circuits.
Do what i'd do. Take it apart. Spray it with WD40 and pretend you've fixed it

 i tried that before mate, i have been through 2 sets of spark plugs in 3 weeks, i have so far had two completely different resistance readings im hoping that mr bosch will sort out my problems, i seem to have the late connector type so seem to think it will connect up to the machine tomorrow

just get a coil pack lol leave the battery off for 20 minutes to clear the faults run it up take it for a spin runs alright check no faults have been left stored jobs a gooden
