I'm due to move out into a flat with my gf a week today (only renting so its not permanent) i was just wondering what the law is about changing the address on my driving licence?
I lived with 2 friends last year at a different address and didn't change my address, but then found out that apparently its "illegal" if you don't. The address on my car is my parents home address, so technically it is my home until i move out permanently?
Or do i still have to change it even if im renting?

Do you keep the car at your parents address, even when living somewhere else, then?
From the internet:
"It is a legal requirement for a driver or vehicle keeper to inform DVLA as soon as they buy or sell a vehicle or change their address, and failure to do so is an offence which could result in prosecution and a fine of up to £1000."

Not sure if im following this correctly but im in the same situation -
Live with GF away from parents
Driving License registered at parents
Car registered at mine
Insurance registered at mine
Do I fall (technically) foul of the law?

No, so long as your ins company know your car resides primarily at WHERE YOU ACTUALLY LIVE then its all good
