right the nice man from the rac came to visit me the other day for a problem on my car whilst he was there i asked him to see why the engine managment light was on so he got his computer out and pluged it in and he computer machine would not read my car so come on lads and lasses tell me how to find out what is wrong with my car

yeah, the RAC system ecu system is naff, apparently AA's system is better as they deal with vauxhalls a lot more.
Easiest option thought is to take it into vauxhalls, will be around £50 for them to run it on the diag machine!

only works on pre-97 corsa's i believe, after that it needs to go on diag machine.
windsor, yeah vauxhall are the cheapest but unless you know anyone else with a tech2 that will do it on the cheap there aren't many options.....

The paperclip test works on any corsa regardless of age, the exceptions being the 1.2 16v (X12XE) and the 1.0 12v (X10XE).

I had a problem with my engine management light a few months back, put it of a diag machine, and said I needed a new lambda sensor, got one of those, but also needed a new airflow meter. Problem cured for me.

on my old 12v the engine management light came on, so i got my old next door neighbour who was a vauxhall mechanic to bring the diagnostic thing home from work and check it out for me, turns out it was the air flow meter i think, so try and get a vauxhall mechanic to move in next door and your sorted
