Ive put a Universal Air Filter on my car tnite....nd every so often my engine management light comes on and my car dies, so i have to loose off.

Is it that the air filter is taking in too much air and it tries to match it with pumping more fuel in and it chokes my engine?
or is the ecu just resetting itself to match the air intake with fuel...?
or maybe just a loose connection on the wires??

Any help welcome.

Should be ok with reagrds to air filter, air mass meter will regulate that one...

May have disturbed the connection to the airflow meter. Check the plug is seated correctly.

I've got a similar problem mate when i get to about 4000 revs my engine management light comes on and the car physically struggles, no idea what it could be though
