What do people make of this? They will always be on the brink of winning but ultimatley fall short as they are relying on youth instead of experience to get them the success they need. Every season will be a repeat of last if this is how they plan to run the club. The club will survive and make money but they aren't going to win anything thinking like this.

Well alot of teams have debt's, to be honest Wenger has the right attitude, create a winning team rather than buy it.

IMO they're going to fall short with this strategy.

Its good for the top few teams I would have thought. I don't think its good for the game as a whole though, unless some young English players come through as a result, but as Arsenal buy foreign that probably won't be the case!

Depends, if you call your more established players for big money, then pick up some good younger players for a fraction of the cost, then it will work.

£21 million profit on Adebator if they sell, seems the right idea for me. Bearing in mind the players that move away from Arsenal are never quite as good as they were under Wenger.

It makes sense when the profit margins are as big as the one Tiesto mentioned, but overall will that keep the fans happy? Balancing the books and only competing for a bit, then dropping off.

Wenger has a knack of finding tallented other players for peanuts though, so he may have something in the pipeline.

4 years without a trophy though, I'd be wanting to keep the likes of Adebayor as they were so close last season.

Exactly.
People are banging on about Wenger finding these superstar kids as he has in the last 4yrs, but what have they won when playing these lot - fuck all worthwhile is the answer.
