Well the thing is I went to do some washing up last night and the fecking water still burnt my hand coming out the tap so didnt seem to make much difference, it only seems to make a difference in the shower, just have to turn it up a little bit more.

think he means that tap doing washing up was boiling, so he turned boiler down, but he had to turn shower setting up a bit to get it back to right temp

When we moved in the boiler was on the max settings. I thought maybe I dont need it that hot, as I was having showers on half hot/half cold (its powered through the boiler, not an electrical shower unit). When washing up (plates etc) I was also using a 50/50 ish mix, so I turned it down to these half settings and im still getting boiling hot water through the taps and im still only using 50/50 ish in the shower, so really, why would I need it on Max/Max?
Thats what im asking really

Lob it down to minimum and see if that will do. If not, knock it up a little more.

Mine makes the water cool down when you turn it down. Used to do this in the winter when cleaning the Corsa
Although the boiler is about 6 years old now so not the best.

I think you have the pictures the wrong way if you have lowered the setting
